Is this a nightclub or a hotel?

This is a party hotel at least 3 of 7 days a week. 50% of the time they have private events from 6pm until 9pm so you can not hang out, see sunset og eat dinner. They let you know 15 min prior the event. We stayed there 5 days and all days were very loud because of reservations, so no sleep at day or night. We told this to the hotel and asked for some compensation but they did never get back to us. We contacted hotels.com. The hotel lied to hotels.com and said we did not inform them, because then they would have helped us. NOT TRUE. They removed me from our WhatsApp correspondence and deleted some of the messages that showed my point. The beds are terrible. There is a recess in the bed because of usage and the madras need to be replace as you sleep terribly. The only positive was our room which was clean. The cleaning staff does a good job.

We really enjoyed our stay at Townhouse Boutique Hotel! It's inside the walled city so you are close to EVERYTHING. My room was clean and bright. The food was good as well. Also, every staff member was polite and accommodating. My only complaint is that my bathroom was super small. We had a hard time maneuvering around in it. You basically have to step into the shower to close and open the door while in there. The space is entirely too small for a regular door. A pocket door is what's needed. I still would not hesitate to stay there again. One bonus was that you can take a boat to their sister resort on an island for free. You only have to pay the $4 port tax and food and drinks while there. The staff and food on the island were just as good!

Cozy, cool, comfortable

We loved this place: welcoming and helpful staff, large suite with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, great mattresses and pillows, decent wifi, perfect location in the heart of Cartagena, nice balconies, great (even if tiny ) rooftop bar with a relaxing view on the roofs of Cartagena and an everlasting breeze with gorgeous sundowners. Stuff was very responsive to our requests and with a what-can-I-do-for-you attitude. The rooftop bar feels like a secret heaven where u can escape to chill out from the buzz of the streets or from a long day out at the beach or at the islands. I definitely recommend this place and would be my go to hotel should I come back to Cartagena.

I really would have loved to give this hotel 5 stars, however due to 2 issues I can not. I will start by saying our actual suite room was modern, spacious, clean and exactly what was pictured. The only form on communication with the front desk staff is via WhatsApp and they are very responsive. We stayed at the hotel for 4 days and 3 nights and during our stay the elevator was “out of service” for a majority of our time. However, since the elevator is glass you could see it being used by the workers to bring items up to the rooftop at times during this period. The reason we picked this hotel compared to ours in the area was because I was traveling with my older mother and they had an elevator. Out of our 4 days there, here was only 2 times when the elevator was working. Since the morning breakfast was on the roof, she was not able to walk all the way up there and utilize that amenity. In addition, one day there was construction “maintenence” that started before 8am. There was no notification that this would be occurring the night before and therefore we were woken up to hammering. If it weren’t for this two issues, our stay otherwise was good.

Fantastic property, rooms are very clean and lovely. Very well located in the Old City. Staff is fantastic and very willing to help. The rooftop bar is fun and has a lovely view the sunset. Some street/bar noise at lower level but not bothersome.

Overall property was good, and the staff was very courteous and helpful. Loved the rooftop restaurant with a live DJ everyday around 1PM. Disappointed with the pool as it was in the restaurant area and quite small. Felt awkard getting in so it was a pass for us. Looked much larger in the pictures.

Our family really enjoyed the location of the hotel. We also enjoyed the supper club experience. On Friday and Saturday night, it is very noisy and there is bar downstairs that is very loud. Overall our experience was good, I liked the intimate feeling of the smaller hotel and being able to communicate via WhatsApp with the staff was great
