Location is very convenient, being a 5 minute walk from the middle of Montmartre. The nearest Metro (Lamarck-Caulaincourt) is a 10 minute stroll downhill to the station and 15 minutes uphill towards the hotel. Being an Aparthotel and therefore with a kitchen I took advantage of a local supermarket for food and drinks for breakfast and ate out for evening meals. There are some excellent places to eat which are slightly off the beaten track if you’re looking to eat locally to the hotel - head towards the Metro for these to avoid the Montmartre crowds. If my stay was longer than the three nights I would probably have made use of the small hob and microwave to cook a full meal. This is a really functional hotel which is clean, tidy and has all necessary comforts. It’s not designed for a luxury stay but a practical one, which was exactly what we wanted. My only criticism is that, whilst there is a Nespresso machine (bring your capsules!) there is no kettle to boil water when wanting tea - so you’ll need to boil a small pan of water instead!
Staff were very polite at check in and check out and put up with my attempts to try and speak very basic French!
Overall I would highly recommend this as a base for exploring Paris, but especially if you’re keen on seeing Montmartre and the 18th Arrondissement.
