Traveling to visit Martha’s Vineyard. Never been to the area. Check in was not helpful with local information at all. Past several staff throughout our 2 night stay and no one spoke in passing. Had to ask for clean towels second day and then only brought 1 wash cloth. When my husband went downstairs to get another was told they were running short on supplies which I thought was very odd. Bed was comfortable and location is ok as far as walking distance to take the Ferry to the Vineyards. No laundry facility, self parking 2.5 blocks away from hotel, no microwave in room and very overpriced. Probably will not choose to stay here again.

Check is was supposed to be 4. I did request early check in. Room wasn’t ready till after 5. Toilet wasn’t clean. “Stuff on the seat. Sink wouldn’t drain. I’ve stayed at this hotel every summer the last five years. It seems to have gone down hill since the last stay. Don’t think I’ll stay again.

The room was clean, comfortable bed, and had plenty of outlets and USB ports to charge all our devices. The bathroom was clean, lots of space, with a modern glass shower, however, the water pressure in the shower was very low.

The front desk staff was so friendly and helpful. They let me check in early with no extra charge. Location in downtown New Bedford is incredible. The room was clean and quiet, with a comfy bed. The windows open (only a few inches, for safety, of course), which I love. My only criticism is that the description of the room as having a “harbor view” is…generous. I could see a little bit of water, but….

Always have had a good stay over the years at this spot and it was still great this recent time but unfortunately I lost a shirt of mine that I never got back. I called about two hours after checking out and was pretty confident I would get it back after speaking to the front desk worker who told me they’re normally able to get lost and found items back to their owners. Called the day after, still nothing. Two weeks went by, I assumed they forgot, called again, and I was told they never found it. I just wish I received a call back, regardless of them finding it or not, rather than having to follow up myself.

It was a beautiful old hotel in town (New Bedford). That gave it a lot of character integrated with the room being updated nicely with modern conveniences. I was on the 5th floor and had a great view of the city and partially of the harbor. My daughter and her husband-to-be live a couple blocks away. Because they have off street parking, I left my car there and they picked me up during my stay for Mother’s Day weekend. That was an inconvenience to work around. However, area is very walkable to a number of restaurants. I did enjoy my room and would consider staying in this hotel during their wedding next year!

This hotel may have been great when it first opened but the hotel administration just don’t give a damn, Especially the young woman at the evening desk. She made up rules about parking and the towing of customer’s cars. I had a handicapped person in our party. This young woman on the evening desk told us we could park in front of the hotel on the street and then waited until 11pm at night to call and tell us we would get towed unless we moved our car. I found out the next day that if my car were to get towed it would be by her and not the police. Please read reviews. I wish I had. Never again.
