If you go to Plitvice Lakes National Park, I recommend this place strongly!!!! (The Rustic Lodge Plitvice is very close to the park entrance #2.) Let me explain why my wife and I LOVED this place. This is a family business. I believe the parents cook and the children help run the place. They were very friendly, patient, courteous, and helpful. (We did not go there by car. They kindly gave us a ride to the Park entrance.) The decoration of the lodge is just beautiful - a lot of wooden work. The restaurant was excellent. My wife ordered a full-course menu with a trout, and I ordered one with traditional cuisine - sausage. The breakfast buffet was also great!!! If you think my review is unrealistically high, try the place yourself. You will understand what I am saying here. Thank you, the Rustic Lodge family. You definitely made a wonderful first impression of Croatia!!!

Great family operated lodge. We sprung for the deluxe room for $20 more and it had an electric massage reclining chair. So nice after mikes of hiking in the park. Great location. Excellent restaurant which is a must in this area.
