This hotel is the best! I was a little nervous after reading some of these reviews but after my amazing experience there, these bad reviews couldn’t be further from the truth. I booked the resort queen pool side view with double beds. The property grounds is just stunning! Waterfalls every where, lush trees and flowers. The rooms were huge, loved the shower area, and everything was cleaned daily. The app was so easy to use to order housekeeping, more items you may need in the room, and to reserve reservations at the restaurants. Check in was a little delayed but checking out was quick. The food at all the restaurants were all good! The Caribe buffet was our choice for breakfast and lunch. Just know it will be hard to get a reservation that night but as soon as we were checked in with a room number we immediately reserved for all the days we were there. We reserved El Charro which had such amazing Mexican food and desserts, El Asador was good too but felt they were a little disorganized amongst each other especially the waiters, and the Gondola had some great Italian food and their passionfruit tiramisu was so good!
As for people saying the staff was mean and no one speaks English there is not true. The staff was kind from beginning to end of our trip. The only ones I noticed you need to at least know some Spanish to get you by is if you ask the cleaning people or housekeepers for directions or for something you may need, they will tell you they don't speak English.
