Not what expected

Over all I didn’t love this place at all. They don’t bring you enough wash cloths and towels. You have to keep asking and still don’t come. Suppose to have been on the adult only side and there were kids, I guess they over booked themselves. Rooms not cleaned daily. Customer service not as expected for the price point of this hotel. Their staff uses no English and doesn’t even try. Been sick on the toilet for 2 days not sure what’s in the food. Food restaurants doesn’t feel like service you feel like your being a burden on staff. Half my tv was blacked out even after coming to change it out. Bathrooms around resort were disgusting tp say the least!!!! I would recommend this place!!!! Over price and not worth the money!!!

Resort Stay Review – Extremely Disappointed Over the past twenty years, I’ve stayed at more than 30 resorts, so I have a good sense of what to expect. While this resort was scenic and the rooms were visually appealing, several serious issues during my stay ensure that I will never return. 1. Booking Issues & Poor Customer Service I originally booked a stay from June 17 to June 22 directly through the Lopesan website. My wife and I double-checked all the details before finalizing, knowing it was a nonrefundable booking. However, when I received the email confirmation about 10 minutes later, it listed the wrong dates — in October, which would be impossible for us to travel. I immediately attempted to call their customer service but could not get through. The next day, I reached a representative who promised to escalate the issue. Two days later, I was told there would be no refund and that I could only correct the dates if I paid an additional $700, despite clearly inputting the correct information initially. The representative made it sound like the mistake was mine. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, I was conveniently disconnected twice. We ultimately rebooked via Hotels.com so we could still attend a friend’s birthday. I have attached the receipt from Hotels.com showing the correct dates. Frankly, the whole experience with Lopesan’s website and customer service felt deceptive, and I now question the legitimacy of their online booking platform. 2. Cleanliness & M

The property architecture is so beautiful. If you're into the classic spanish style, the building is magnificent. The staff are all very courteous and happy and wonderful to be with and around. Be careful not to fall in love with the place and the people. With any building though, nothing is perfect. There were some chips of glass missing from the very far corner of the mirror inside our unit in the batbroom, and some floor tiles throughout the property can be broken, so watch your step. Although, there is continuous maintenance and repair work being done all the time. So, it is being kept up. Also, I have 2 more personal issues with the resort, which may not pertain to everyone, or even the majority. 1 - the swimming pools are closed after 7pm, I personally would have loved to be swimming in the pool at night. And, 2 - the food menu options, yes, they're good and many plentiful options, but if you care - there is no Halal menu. So be mindful of what you're eating, if it matters to you. But otherwise, we loved this place. 5 stars all the way. Thank you so much to all the resort staff.

The hotel is amazing if you looking to experience Dominican Republic culture, from the music they play, selection of food and amazing pool. We had an amazing experience without having to leave the hotel. There is a lot of walking involve so bring comfortable shoes. I will definitely go back with my family

The land of foam plates and bad service

You know those reviews that people say the hotel is bad and you think “naw, it should be ok. I’ll book anyways”… this is your sign to NOT do that and slowly walk away. This hotel looks good in pictures and when you get there, but once you see through the façade you will notice it’s an overpriced hotel that has no sense of care about their service. We reported an issue with our mini fridge and shower head and it took us 7 reports and one day to get it fixed. You will also notice when walking around the employees just yelling at each other from hallways or sitting on the ground using their phones. The food at the buffet was ALWAYS cold and if you wanted to take some food out of the buffet? They will get you a foam plate and a 7oz plastic cup. When did I suddenly end up at my grandmothers Christmas party and not at a 5 star hotel? I’m someone chill with the little things but I work hard for my money and this did not meet my expectations. The only good thing from my stay was the hydrotherapy at the spa and our dinner at Gondola (Italian Rest) where we were assisted by Andy. Andy was amazing and professional! The pool is pretty looking and the beach is also ok, be mindful that the tile around the hotel and the room get very slippery. And you might think, how do I know it was this hotel bad? My flight got canceled and we got booked at another hotel (4 star and a bit more casual). This place is 100x better than Lopesan. If you value your money, don’t stay here!

Everything was great! Choice of adult section very good. Food service servers excellent . Sadly we would not return due to the excessive LOUD noise from the music. it was not music it was boom boom loud thumping noise we expect that at a club or disco or evening late afternoon not alllllll day everyday everywhere. We could not escape it sadly... We asked music people to lower the volume several times they did not. We asked hotel managers to lower music at the outside pool area and buffet they did not...we couldnt go to the adult sesction they had loud music and no shade during the day..so sad many ppeople stated the same and complained ...nothing done...ah well would ve been an acceptable property to return otherwise

El hotel es muy bonito, es muy grande, eso excelente. La atención es buena pero tiene carencias, el servicio en algunos lugares no es el mejor, a veces te atienden muy bien a veces hasta de malas. La comida en los restaurantes de reserva es buena, el bufete es bueno pero el room service es limitado, no es bueno. La bebidas tardan en llegar en los restaurantes. Lo recomiendo pero falta pulir algunas cosas.

This property was beautiful! It was our first time at an all inclusive resort and it was great. The staff was very friendly and inviting. It was always something to do. The food was only okay and the drinks were a bit cheap. I would definitely go back! The only thing that was miss-leading was that I did think the entire hotel was Adults only. It was not. There were adults only sections (hotel side, pool, beach, and dining area) but we seen kids everywhere! It didn’t ruin our stay of course but just to be noted. Overall, beautiful experience and would rate 9/10!

The staff was friendly and helpful, they made sure to acknowledge my birthday and helped get clothes left in my family’s room. I would have liked the adult only pool to have their own towel station. I downloaded the app for easy access but when trying to make reservations, it gave me restrictions for most of the restaurants. I’m not sure if it was a wifi error or it truly was that difficult to make reservations.
