We arrived late after midnight and a key had been put out to us. The room had not been cleaned so we had to call for help. We were given another room that was clean but had no towels… the room was also cold and clammy

Blev mødt af venligt personale. Der var kun ét håndklæde til to personer, ingen sengelinned, vinduet kunne ikke lukkes, der føltes fugtigt og var virkelig lydt i forhold til andre gæster der kom og tog bad om natten, og hvor dørene bandt så de smækkede hårdt.

Billigt, men ikke engang de 370 dkk værd.

Motellet er gammelt, og det er virkelig tydeligt. Vi skulle bare overnatte en enkelt nat, men vi overvejede faktisk at finde noget andet pga. hygiejnen. Vi havde heldigvis selv sengetøj med, men brugte ikke dynerne fordi de var møgbeskidte. Der var generelt beskidt og slidt overalt. Vi kan ikke anbefale det.

First the positive: this hotel is in a very quiet area not far from Kristiansand. It's great if you're on a budget and looking for something as a rest point at the beginning or end of a Norway adventure. In my case, the weather had gone bad and I was waiting on the delayed Fjord Line ferry so as to return to Denmark. My room was clean and the property is pet friendly, which was a big plus for me and my dog! But...this is an older hotel that seems to be going through a slow renovation. There was only one person on duty during my two night stay, maybe the owner or a full-time manager. Regardless, he was very nice and helpful and resolved the couple of issues I had. There is no in-room heating; you may have to request a heater (at no cost) if the weather is cold. In summary, if you need basic lodging, the price is right as you will often pay more for a simple no-frills bungalow or campsite elsewhere in Norway.
