Safe parking. Comfotable bed. Polite staff. Comfortable bed. Unfinished wall construction in the room. Limp pillows. Stained toilet. No amenities. The website says bar/lounge and there isnt one. Cheap soap in the bathroom.

Worst place in Cape Breton Nova Scotia

We reserved a king deluxe room. Were given 2 double. Only shades that did not cover windows, drywall patch by heater, unsecured cable wire coming from wall. The furniture was old/chipped. Bathroom had mold on tile grout with no tub drain. Wasn’t even a paper cup in the room. When told that the room was unacceptable and not what was reserved, we were given another room with king bed. Room was not at all clean and obviously hadn’t been used recently. There was literally a massive pile of discarded furniture and appliances outside of the room, including a swimming pool used as a dump. We were told that was all that was available and we needed to contact Expedia for a refund. Because of the Celtic Colours festival crowds , we were unable to secure a room at another hotel the first night of our booking. We stayed one night but found other accommodations the second night. The ‘breakfast’ was very minimal with poor quality food. The overall conditions of the property was very poor with piles of dirty linen outside as we pulled into the parking lot. Outside fire pits had unburnt garbage.

I’m not typically a critical person. This is the first negative room I’ve ever posted.The room was dirty and the bathroom was worse. It clearly had not been cleaned. Previous guest’s soap left in the shower, soap scum/residue from bar soap on shower shelf and on sink. Toilet not clean either. Spilled something on top of the mini fridge. The room had a smell we think was bug spray. Our room had a cheap doorknob know that didn’t feel secure at all. We pushed furniture in front of the door to alert us if someone tried to come in. We had other people in our group and the two other rooms occupied by them weren’t better. One couple skipped showering because the bathtub didn’t look clean. I would not stay there again and wouldn’t recommend it to others.

Wonderful Stay - Highly Recommended!

We were very happy with the place! The location was great, and we especially loved the park right outside our room with a beautiful view. This was incredibly convenient since we were traveling with our dog. While the hotel has a noticeable vintage charm, it was well-maintained and felt cozy. A small issue came up when the mini-fridge in our room wasn't working, but we mentioned it at the front desk, and they promptly replaced it with a new one, which we appreciated. Finally, the breakfast was homemade and quite good. We definitely recommend this spot!

We arrived at approx 3:30PM on Sep 23rd for 2 nights. After being shown to our room by someone that worked there but didn't know anything about the place whom couldn't even get TV running we were left to wait for more than 45 mins before someone else arrived at the premises to assist us. Our first room was #8..... the walls had holes in them, the air conditioner installation wasn't complete, the fridge had stains in it, the washroom taps were gross. The toilet height was not of standard height. My 81 year old mother couldn't crouch down low enough to sit on the toilet. He then offered room #17 in which we declined due to height of the toilet. We left this motel in search for another and did not stay for either night booked. I am seeking full reimbursement for both nights. I believe you have one bad apple amongst your choices that are offered. My Itinerary number was 72066447595709. I have also included 8 pics illustrating my displeasure. Tks in advance Regards

This facility appears to be in a remodel stage. The lighting was poor in the room. I slept well and it has agood breakfast. It certainly filled our need for just an overnight stay.
