The location was beautiful. Amazing scenic views in every direction with Volterra on the hill in the distance! The villa was perfect for our family of 4. The kids loved to cool off in the pool after a day of sightseeing and the owners were helpful with any questions we had. Truly a perfect Tuscan getaway!

Von der Ankunft bis zur Abreise ein Traum. Zimmer picobello sauber, Terrasse mit Blick über die verschiedenen Ebenen der Toskana von Sonnenauf- bis Untergang. Familiengeführt..und das spürt man, dass hier mit Liebe gearbeitet wird. Frühstück wunderbar und zweimal in der Woche kocht der Eigentümer. Die Lage ist perfekt für Ausflüge in alle Richtungen, jede Sehenswürdigkeit ist in 20min bis 1,5h erreichbar. Sehr gerne kommen wir wieder!

Our stay at Il Defizio was relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable. The location is quiet with beautiful views of the rolling Tuscan hills. The complementary European breakfast was fresh and the service was excellent. Many Tuscan towns like San Gimignano and Volterra were a short drive away. Highly recommended.

If I could give 10 star review to the owners/staff I’d give it. They are all very kind and friendly and were willing to make my stay easier/better at every opportunity.. arranging early dinner, adding a lunch booking late, chatting to us about visits we were planning in the area.. the list is endless. The property is beautiful, the service is exceptional and the owners/staff are lovely. And the food is delicious. Highly recommend.

Ein wunderschönes Agrotourismo, gut gelegen für Ausflüge in die Umgebung, toller Pool mit herrlicher Fernsicht, saubere, gepflegte Zimmer und sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Betreiber. Perfect. Such a beautiful property and wonderful owners. 🥰The breakfast was excellent. We arrived late and the owner nicely waited and welcomed us. He booked us a wonderful restaurant that had excellent food, service and price. ☺️ Since we were late, the owner's wife suggested that we stay longer the next day without extra charge!🥰 Unbelievable kindness and hospitality.❣️ We were only sorry that we were there for a short time, we will definitely come back!

Best 3 day stay of our 17 days in Italy!

Andrew and Anthony were awesome. They accommodated us at every turn. We did not have a car, they shuttled us to a local restaurant. We did not have food, they cooked for us. They made us drinks, suggested wines and helped us enjoy the beautiful scenery of the rolling Tuscany landscape. Our Stay here was wonderful, just not long enough.
