Gracious hosts, great food

Breakfast was amazing and the host and hostess were friendly and present so all our needs were met and wonderful. I have dust sensitivity and I noticed that the room was quite dusty. I think future guests would appreciate more thorough cleaning. Bedding was clean and towels were fresh. Overall, it was a lovely experience, and I would recommend this Bed and Breakfast.

I had a wonderful stay at the Pratt Smith House B&B! Anne and Alan were wonderful hosts. I enjoyed all of the antiques and objects of interest with which Anne (who, according to Alan, does the decorating) has decked out the house. So many things to look at. I enjoyed reading some of the history of the house and the area. As others have said, the breakfast was extraordinary, and served with a flair by Anne and Alan. Perhaps best of all was their wonderful company and conversation. I hope to be back soon.

Alan and Anne were such a wonderful host and would highly recommend them. The place is magical and the food (homemade!) is delicious! Would stay here again if given the opportunity.

I post to let prospective renters know that all the "10" reviews are misleading. The property is old, dusty and uncomfortable. I was mislead by the "reviews" and regret my stay. The owners are nice, but should be truthful about the property condition.

A Gem in Central NY

Alan and Anne are fabulous hosts and the breakfasts are superb. Just be aware that this IS a 200-plus-year old house with nineteenth century quirkiness. If you prefer a sterile 21st century hotel do not stay here. If however, you appreciate the history and charm of a farmhouse which pre-dates the building of the Eire Canal, you will, like me, become a repeat visitor.
