Pros: The hotel is beautiful. Our room was clean & comfortable. I appreciate the security of only hotel guests being able to access the upper floors.
Cons: Waited 10 minutes for valet park on arrival & no one came to take our car, so we went to self-park. Next, we had to schlep our luggage across the casino because there is no parking near the lobby. We were there for an event offsite, so we went downstairs to check out the casino before we had to leave. The first slot machine took my money & immediately went off line. Not the best start. We also inquired about a spot for a nice breakfast the following morning. They recommended the grab & go at the coffee shop. No restaurant, no room service, just that or the diner in the South End Market.
Returned late after our event. The hotel was so noisy. Loud tv noise coming from the next room, people stomping around above us & frat boys loud talking & running up & down the hallways. Fortunately I had my white noise & a pair of earplugs with me.
Next morning, we planned to do a little gambling before we left, but had to check out by 11. Got downstairs& were immediately informed that we can’t take our bags onto the casino floor. So now we’re expected to schlep our luggage back out to our car & then come back to gamble? Sorry, no. Time to go.
MGM is pretty to look at but not well thought out. They make everything too difficult. My husband is mobility impaired & dragging luggage all over impractical. Not likely to be back.
