This is one of the best hotel experience I have. Very stylish design of hotel, clean and comfortable room, friendly staff who is willing to share with you anything about the city. Great breakfast too!

The hotel is difficult to reach from a main road and one must walk up a very steep incline to reach the hotel which is poorly marked. No reception with difficulty in obtaining the entry codes. Then we were place at the very top room which had a very tight winding stairs without a handrail and was extremely difficult to lug a suitcase up. Next, my wife fell in the middle of the room because there is no safety markings for a step down in the center of the room. Overall, this accommodation was way overpriced for the facility it provided.

The location is amazing, there was a lot to see within walking distance. The room was modern and nicely decorated but there was a lack of shelving in the bathroom (turns out the mirror is a medicine cabinet) and also, there wasn’t really a place to put luggage; I would have preferred that the single chair was replaced with a luggage rack. I was not able to get the AC working when we checked in but Maria came to the room upon check out and it seemed to be working fine then. And the toilet seat was broken which seems to be a theme in Portugal. Overall, I would stay here again. Check in/out was easy and the staff were friendly. Welcome desserts and port wine were a nice surprise!

The property makes creative use of its small space in the historic area. We enjoyed our balcony view of the city from our studio. Fresh and new inside with a Roman wall in the back. Staff is wonderful and genuinely helpful. Breakfast is good too. But do not plan to drive or park there. The road is very narrow. We left our car at a nearby parking garage. Wonderful location in the walkable historic district near the river.

We had a very comfortable stay. The historical house is very well kept and our room was clean. It is well located near the Cathedral and within walking distance of the waterfront. Marta, the host and our staff contact there, was most helpful, patient, gracious, and welcoming. She contacted us ahead of time more than once and sent us clear directions to the house from the train station via local train. We had an unexpected medical situation arise while there and she both advised us and made several calls on our behalf. The care and attention the staff gives their guests is rare. Highly recommended!

Excellent central location in city centre approx 5 mins from nearest metro stop. Clean and modern. Our room was small but had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. Welcome from Marta was above and beyond expectations. Not only did she introduce us to the guesthouse but supplied us with a drink of port and pastel da nata when we arrived ! she gave us an intro to the city highlights , supplied us with a map and even booked boat trip, tuk tuk ride and port cellar tour for us . She answered our questions during our stay in a friendly and efficient way. She is a great asset to her employer and the questhouse. Overall we could not have wanted more from our stay at this guesthouse and would fully recommend it for a short city break to Porto.

We had an absolutely amazing stay! Maria is a wonderful host and was not only welcoming but also very helpful in making our trip to Porto so fantastic. The location was great and walking distance to everything including many nearby restaurants. We would definitely recommend this hotel!

Wonderful

A lovely place to stay in Porto. So convenient for the Cathedral and the river. Marta could not have been more helpful; booking parking in advance, offering invaluable advice on restaurants, sightseeing, transport etc. She helped us with luggage (we had a lot, as we are on the road for a month) and with laundry too. She even went to the trouble of researching our onward travel on our behalf.I cannot recommend this place more highly.
