It had such amazing reviews my expectations were too high. This hotel is basic and thoroughly fine. There are tons of choices in this area and price point so, truthfully, I would not pick this one again.
Pros: It is clean, conveniently located, reasonably quiet, has comfortable (and soft) beds.
Cons: They charge you $30 a day "amenity fee"... the amenities are basically drinking water and internet. Kinda ridiculous and felt like a scammy way to jack up the room price but have it show lower online.
Room is VERY small. Yes, it's NYC and all rooms are small. This room is EXTREMELY small.
No mini fridge in the room. You can check your fridge items in/out at the front but it's kind of a hassle.
Shower door wasn't sealed properly and would leak a large puddle of water on the floor every time. We went through a lot of extra towels mopping it up.
The in-room alexa type assistant device was completely worthless, we unplugged it because it couldn't answer a single question or provide ANY information. They should have saved their money and not bothered with these.
They oversold the hip, artsy angle of the hotel. It looks normal with a few small colorful touches. I would call this a very basic hotel and like I said, it was fine.
