Room was a bit cramped but beds were comfortable and had nice bathroom. Food in the pub was great value for money and very tasty with good variety. Staff were pleasant and courteous. Would recommend for short stays.

Helpful and efficient service.

Lovely hotel. Everything i needed in the room for my stay. I am on crutches at the moment and one of the staff helped me to my room with my bag. Had a small issue of a leak from my room ceiling but the staff handle it very quickly and gave me another room. Overall very happy with stay. Thank you.

A first class Budget stay in the historic gun quarter, great restoration of this circa 1800 pub with real home cooked meals and great prices, fed up with chain hotels, do this!!

A bit out of the way from public transport if visiting without a car, hallways reeked of cigarettes, stale beer and other unmentionables. Street light straight into the window with sheer curtains (thank god for eye masks). Shower looked unclean so we didn't use it.

Happy with my stay

For a budget stay, this was great. The hosts were friendly and helped me out with all I needed. Ideal for someone who wants a cost effective stay with the basics taken care of. Room was clean as was the bathroom. Bed wasn't very comfortable but was fine, I still slept ok. Overall, I would recommend and wouldn't hesitate to return if needed in the future.

Lovely room clean and comfy upgraded bathroom tv with tea and coffee. The only issue was the shower didnt drain properly amd water leaked outside the shower stall onto bathroom floor. Didnt really see staff other than to check in as breakfast wasn't included we didn't see anyone else but the room was lovely and its recommended if you just need a room for the night thats affordable x
