"This place was simply fantastic. The lobby and my room were simply breathtakingly gorgeous. Some other reviews mention having had issues with rude staff but I had no such problems and was very pleased with every employee I encountered. I also took advantage of the hamman and massage and would highly recommend it. Lastly, the rooftop dining area offers a nice view and the breakfast is quite good. I would definitely stay here again."

"I can confidently say that it was single handedly the staff, Ahmed and Anas that made our stay at the riad - exceptional!!! "Expedia rates this Riad as "impressive". Well, they're many impressive riads in Fez, but this is not one. The building is nice and could be a wonderful riad, but it's poorly managed and maintained with a result far worse than in pictures. It's definitely not a 4 starts hotel, as pretended, rather a B&B. "Riad Alya was incredible! The room was beautiful, spacious and very Moroccan. I felt like I was in a museum and couldn’t stop staring at the amazing ceiling. Then you walk out in the center and it’s hard to take it all in. Riad Alya is in a great location, easy to find and every attraction is in walking distance. The moment you walk in Ottoman treated me like family and when I left, I felt like family. Ottoman is the best!"
