"Comfortable stay , lovely walled city. Not as busy in October which is what we were looking for, easy walk to restaurants and the beach. Friendly people. Comfy bed .. we wanted a sea view so the room was on the top floor - there is a small lift so not too bad .. would definitely return "

"It may be the best hotel within the walls of St Malo. A bit of an oasis. Hotel room was modern and quiet (August). The ability to park under the hotel was a bonus in a very congested Intra Muros area. We enjoyed the comfortable seating area in front of the hotel that overlooked a quiet square."

"We loved staying at Maison Vauban. The owner was super helpful with restaurant and other recommendations for what to see and do in St. Malo. The breakfast was also delicious -- especially the fresh fruit. The rooms on the side or back may be quieter, as there are recycling bins in the front."

"Bad start - drove through the maze to drop off bags, asked hotel person (hard to identify since it's also a restaurant) for advice on where to park, and he said he had no idea at all. As parking is clearly an issue in St. Malo, he should've had some idea. We finally figured something reasonable out after 40 minutes of trying to get back out of town. Second - no AC, which is fine, but if you opened windows the noise from the bar went on late into the night. We asked about a fan, and they said...

"Perfect hotel, close to main gate with close proximity to restaurants, shopping and beaches. We had the room for 4 which was perfect for a family of 4. Plenty of sleeping space and bathroom was quite large. Great restaurant right in lobby which we were easily able to grab food/drink from. Highly recommend!"

"Awesome property in the best town. We stayed in an apartment with a pull out bed for the kids, they loved it. Kitchen was handy to have for breakfasts and when we didn’t feel like eating out. There is a small grocery store in town and lots of great restaurants nearby. Easy walk to the beach. Apartment was clean and comfortable. "
