"“This is a fancy high end hotel.” -someone probably said in 1986. The last 40 years haven’t been very kind, however. The property is worn out and threadbare. The lobby smells odd and room furniture is banged up and dingy. The pool is permanently closed. It’s passable and affordable if you need that option."

"Staff is amazing , our room was smelly like dog’s pee or something similar to this . We couldn’t get a coffee in the morning since everything was closed . 6:30 am everything is closed . We can hear people from others rooms especially from room over us . Site is amazing and quiet . Main lobby is beautiful and cozy ."

"I recently stayed at Hilton Lac-Leamy for two nights with friends and would rate the experience 4 stars. The hotel itself is beautiful. The outdoor pool and jacuzzi are stunning, the property is well maintained, and the valet staff were friendly, professional, and helpful throughout our stay. The complimentary breakfast was excellent and one of the highlights of our visit. Unfortunately, our arrival experience was disappointing. We arrived around 11:00 p.m. after driving from Hamilton and were informed that the room we had booked through Expedia was no longer available. What made this more frustrating was that we had called the hotel earlier that day to confirm our reservation and were told everything was in order. We were advised that the issue was related to Expedia and was outside of the hotel's control. While I understand that booking issues can happen, guests should not be left carrying the consequences after receiving confirmation. After waiting about 30 to 40 minutes, we were placed in a suite with one king bed and a sofa bed. My two friends shared the bed while I slept on the sofa bed, which was uncomfortable and left my back sore the next morning. I would like to recognize Alphosine, who handled the situation with professionalism and kindness. She offered complimentary breakfast for both mornings and waived the usual credit card hold. Her efforts helped improve what was otherwise a frustrating start to our stay."
