Hotel Hani - Aéroport

2/10 Terrible

"I booked a triple standard room for 3 people, but when we arrived, I found that the room only had 2 single beds and 1 bed was broken. When I complained at reception, I was told that they could not do anything and was advised to cancel my booking and go somewhere else. This was a very disappointing response and a poor customer experience. They eventually arranged an additional single bed for one night, but it made the room extremely cramped and uncomfortable. We had no choice but to manage. To make matters worse, there was also a serious issue with the bathroom. Water was leaking heavily from the sink tap, causing the entire bathroom floor to become wet. I reported this issue as well, but I was told that nothing could be done that day. We had to spend the night in these unacceptable conditions. The following day, we were moved to a larger room suitable for 3 people, but the first night’s experience was horrible and caused significant inconvenience and discomfort."

"Decent hotel in a nice part of Algiers, plenty of character. The beds were very comfortable and the place was beautifully furnished, with lots of marble. The breakfast was adequate and tasty (excellent coffee!). The only slight weaknesses were on cleanliness (we had to ask them to replace the bath mat) and some items not being well-maintained, eg the phone didn't work and the shower head was leaking. Would return."

"We stayed here after arriving at the airport in order to recover from a long trip. This hotel was ideal for that. It’s a short taxi ride from the airport. We also understood that they have a free airport shuttle but we did not use it. Second, there is a nice cafe and also a buffet restaurant that were open late. We could get a good meal and pay on a credit card and not worry about not yet having the opportunity to change money. We had delicious drinks at the cafe and later had a light fare dinner there…also good. We stopped by the restaurant buffet and it looked great, but we weren’t hungry enough to benefit from the vast spread of food. Staff at the desk and for housekeeping and other services were exceptionally nice and we spoke to them in English and French. The room was comfortable and well set up, but not large. Our only negative was that the room was a bit hot and the AC was not functioning. Otherwise we would have rated at 5 stars. Staff could offer no solution. An open window helped. We had a good sleep as the hotel is quiet, with thick walls and triple glazed windows. "
