Hotel Moskva
10/10 Excellent
"The property is as promised, legendary, and beautifully redone 👏👏👏👏 location is perfect, food amazing and rooms wonderful. Can’t wait to return in August. "
"I’m giving this hotel 4 stars instead of 5 mainly because of a couple of policies that didn’t sit well with me. They don’t allow outside food in the rooms, which I found surprising. I’ve stayed in many hotels around the world and had never come across that rule before. I even had to look it up to confirm it’s a thing. For me, it takes away some comfort, as I don’t always want to rely on the hotel restaurant when I’m hungry.
Also worth noting for anyone considering a massage: not all treatments are a full hour. Despite what I was initially told, I found out after the fact that the sports massage is only 45 minutes, which was disappointing.
That said, there are definitely positives. The hotel offers a great breakfast buffet with plenty of options, and overall it’s a good stay. As a side note, compared to many major international cities, Belgrade is quite affordable—hotels are reasonably priced, and public transportation is even free, which is a nice bonus."
"Room was clean and nice, and staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is amazing. Only difficulty was that it was challenging to know where the entrance to the building was since it isn’t on the ground floor. Also, and this probably isn’t the hotel’s fault, the building was experiencing a lot construction work, which was very loud too early in the morning (7am). I’d definitely stay here again, though. "
"After a long and exhausting journey, we finally arrived at the hotel around 1 AM due to a delayed flight. Unfortunately, the experience at reception was extremely disappointing. The older woman at the front desk was incredibly rude and claimed she could not find our reservation under my name. Even after I clearly showed her the confirmed reservation on my phone, she refused to acknowledge it and acted as though the situation was entirely our problem, seeming fully prepared to turn us away.
After some difficult back and forth, I asked if there were any rooms available for the night. Clearly annoyed and rolling her eyes, she said there was only one room left and made us pay for it again, even though the reservation had already been fully paid through Expedia. Thankfully, Expedia’s customer service was very helpful and managed to get one of the charges refunded the next day.
Sadly, the receptionist’s behavior left a very bitter impression on us. She was by far the rudest hotel employee I have ever encountered, and honestly one of the rudest people I’ve ever met. Communication was also difficult because she spoke very little English, though enough to make us feel completely unwelcome. It completely ruined our first impression of Belgrade.
It’s unfortunate because the hotel itself is actually very nice — the rooms are comfortable and the location is excellent, right in downtown.
However, the hotel seriously needs to reevaluate its night shift front desk staff."
"Location of hotel is great*. Staff was wonderful. Room was a good size for 1, probably also comfortable for 2. Black out drapes worked well. Bed was a little firmer than I would like but that's just my preference, nothing was wrong with it. Shower had decent water pressure. The hair dryer provided was pretty weak though. Rules in the welcome book says no food delivery allowed but the hotel is surrounded by restaurants so that wasn't a big problem. *My only complaint isn't really the hotel's fault. I happened to stay there during the expo so from 8am-11pm there were voices, music and bass coming from many speakers which was quite loud inside the room even with all the windows closed! You couldn't escape the noise. "
