"The Vibe It’s a standard, clean Hyatt Place—nothing super fancy, but definitely a notch above your typical mid-tier highway hotel. If you’ve stayed at a Hyatt Place before, you know the layout: bright, functional, modern, and predictable in a good way. It’s popular with families visiting Vassar or Marist, road-trippers exploring the Hudson Valley, and people in town for local events. The Rooms The best part about the rooms here is the space. You get that standard "Cozy Corner" setup with a huge L-shaped sofa, which is a lifesaver if you're traveling with extra people or just want space to kick back without sitting on the bed. Beds are comfortable, Wi-Fi is fast, and you get a mini-fridge and coffee maker. Standard stuff, but done right. Amenities & Eats Breakfast: The free breakfast is decent—hot eggs, sausage/bacon, oatmeal, fruit, and waffle makers. It gets very busy on weekend mornings around 8:30–9:30 AM, so either get down early or expect a queue for the coffee. Pool & Gym: There's a small indoor pool and a basic gym that gets the job done for a quick workout. Outdoors: They have a nice little outdoor patio with a firepit, which is a cozy spot to hang out with a drink in the evening."

"Heavy smell of Marijuana in the hallways but the room was very clean. A little confusion between the posted check out time and the time that I was informed of via text message (an hour earlier) which made me rush a little more than I had planned."

"The doubletree was excellent place to stay in Rockland county, New York. The location was great from the hustle and bustle of the city. The local eateries like Cheesecake Factory, BJ great place to have a nice steak and a glass of wine to unwind the day of shopping at the Palisades Mall or the outlets in New Jersey or the world's largest shopping outlet in Middletown NY i.e. Woodbury Commons."

"I was astounded by how excellent this Comfort Inn was in every way. Hadn't stayed at a Comfort Inn in a long time and was a little uneasy about what we might find but it had clearly been remodeled fairly recently and everything was in excellent shape with a whole new modern look and feel, and the staff could not have been nicer. Will definitely stop next year on our way up north."
