The romantic city of Mijas is full of attractions, such as Malaga Province Beaches and Mijas Golf Course, and is loved for its beaches and restaurants.
"Bathrooms in lobby area need much better cleaning schedules. Both male and female toilets were dirty every time myself and my partner went to use them. Pool bar needs a better system for serving both people on the cafe side and on the pool side. Numerous times I was queuing on the pool side and people would join the queue on the cafe side and would be served before me. This is not very good customer service. The location of the hotel is lovely. It is a bit out of the town but 15 mins on the bus and you are in the centre with lots of bars and restaurants. Bus costs €3.20 for two people one way and they do not take card. Cash only. Breakfast was OK, we only went twice out of the week. Hash browns were lovely. Lunch was the same every day. Cold chips. Everything was cold. Dinner was the same as lunch, same thing every night and just mass produced cheap ingredients but it's the same thing everywhere when you do all inclusive unless it's a very expensive hotel. Roof top bar was shut. One out of the 3 beds had no mattress so was out of use. One jacuzzi was off. It should be sign posted better as it felt awkward and like the jacuzzi belonged to whoever was sitting on the bed beside it but that is not the case. We arrived at 11pm so only had 1 hour of all inclusive which did not include any food on the first day. Day of check out they cut our bands off so we couldn't use even though our flight wasn't until 10pm that night. I've never had that happen before."
"I just spent a week at the hotel. It was excellent. I go to Malaga several times a year and I will definitely be returning. There is an Aldi next door to stock the fridge and use the kitchen in the mini-apartment. There is also a train station next 2 mins away. Gym was okay for me although probably not for a weightlifter. Only disappointment was that the pool was closed due to just being before ‘season’, although the weather was in the 20s."
Hotel Costa Málaga (Adults Recommended) by Pierre & Vacances
8/10 Good
"The hotel overall was fine—slightly worn, but still comfortable. The only frustrating part was on my last day: I went for breakfast at 10:15, but the staff had already started clearing the food away, even though breakfast is supposed to run until 10:30."
La Zambra Resort Mijas - Marbella The Unbound Collection By Hyatt

"I'm trying to be as objective as I can.
Property was great. Views, great. Worth it.
Pools were closed, not good.
We ran out of water in the room, (Wife Pregnant) asked the front desk lady, we were told to wait until night time to get refills from the cleaning staff.
What is the world right? Weird.
There was a restaurant down stairs right by the stairs, 8 PM, we asked if we could stop by for some dessert or light snacks, we got told to go to the bar area instead.
We want to the bar area, bar area doesn't serve drinks after 6 they said.
So we just went inside our rooms and made tea there.
On another day, a gentleman working at night was able to offer us water though.
Later we found a loophole that if we want something to drink to go to the gym they have a water station there. It's easier than asking at the front desk because we would be told to wait for night time.
Juan working the valet was great. Compensated for the other (older gentlemen with smug face) who was not so great. Juan was helpful, would offer water. Would smile. (Not everyone does that here.)
I still chose to leave 5 starts because the property is great, and I would still say its worth to check it out, people like Juan do care and are the reason people should still come it regardless of the folks that work here who should not have a job in hospitality.
Besides that,
Juan is great. If you come here, if you need any help, talk to Juan.
Juan is friendly and likes to help people."
