"I booked this place for our honeymoon in Amami Island. First time there, so we had little expectations from the beginning. Little did we know it would be an amazing experience staying at Luxe Tech Villa Ashitoku! 🫶
The place is 15-min drive from the airport, so quite convenient when you book your rental car from there. Mind that on Amami Island, a car is needed to go to different places (restaurants, supermarket, touristy spots) so do not be surprised that the hotel is located in the middle of no where. That said, we were looking for somewhere quiet to reconnect with nature, and Luxe Tech Villa Ashitoku delivered!! ✨
The check-in was through a machine, very quick and easy to retrieve the keys. The entrance is right as soon as you park. You got 2 laundry machine at the reception, and plenty of items you can pick up to make yourself comfortable such as cutleries, plaster bands, bath towels etc. I wish there was laundry detergent though!!
The room was spotless. When we entered, there was such a unique smell spa-like. It felt relaxing. That said, we struggled to use the TV to connect our Youtube, but it wasn't that bad because we were able to just be present with my husband. When you open the window, you can hear the waves of the sea. I wish the view was nice though because the bushes hide the view. Maybe one thing to consider for the future? 🌊
We drove often to Big II supermarket and go eat to surrounding restaurants within ~15min drive. It's manageable if you can drive :)"
