This is a wonderful little spot in eastern Germany, quite off the beaten bath and a little hard to find. Very clean, large spacious rooms, comfortable and quiet. Our minimal German got us most of the way through checking in, but the desk clerk found someone from the kitchen that could speak English. They were very pleasant and helpful. The owners and staff were extremely nice and helpful. This is a wonderful county style hotel in a smaller little community. We loved the atmosphere and the personal attention from the owner. They have done a great job with the facility.

Great location and very clean!

Great location in a building dating back to the 15th Century, but impeccably maintained. Rather steep curved castle stairs, but the manager was very helpful in carrying our luggage. Breakfast was excellent as was service all around. Sherry was waiting in a decanter in the room. When a taxi was delayed picking us up at the train station, the manager (owner?) drove down, himself. First rate service all the way around. Highly recommended.

We were pleasantly surprised when arriving at this hotel. The remodeling they did recently came out beautifully: spacious and clean rooms, heavenly bed and wonderful touch with the hints of history they have provided throughout the hotel. The breakfast was top class also, great assortment of food and great quality. We have NO complaints what-so-ever. The room was comfortable, thoughtfully appointed, and featured a spacious bathroom, and a lovely view from the window. I stood there in peace, watching daylight break over the village. The neighborhood was wonderfully quiet and felt very safe—we slept deeply with the window open. Breakfast was both delicious and filling; I wish I could return just for another one! :) Staying in a historic house made the experience even more special, and I loved learning about its story.
