"Room nice and bathroom new and very good. Breakfast good. Staff very friendly and helpful. But air con on balcony so loud you couldn’t go out. Indoor air con noisy. On second night guests moved into the next door room - we could hear all their noise. (There was a door, so presumably this was a ‘family room’). Fridge in room looked new but didn’t work. Towels frayed. All gave the impression needing some tlc. Nowhere near 5*."

"Just returned from a 3 night stay at Banyan Tree with my husband and two kids, aged 10 and 9. We travel a lot and I can definitely say this is the most beautiful place we have ever stayed! We absolutely loved it from the second we arrived on the Island. We had booked here as a relaxing few days following a week in Singapore and it was the perfect choice! Our 2 bedroom, ocean view villa with pool was stunning. Took our breath away as soon as we walked in. The whole resort is spotless and the staff are all wonderful, can’t do enough to help you. There's a small kitchen with a fridge and sink. You can’t cook there but we had asked for a microwave as my husband likes to make porridge in the morning which helpfully, was there when we arrived. The buffet breakfast is good, with lots of options. There’s several restaurant choices for eating and all were excellent. With kids, we loved the Xana beach bar which we didn’t need to book. Cocktails were great there too. The pools are lovely, the beach is breathtaking. We also tried the jet skiing which was good fun. Evenings are chilled, there’s a DJ at the beach bar who will do a request if you ask nicely. I would 100% recommend and if I’m ever back in that part of the world would definitely go back. "

"No shortage of activities or things to do! Room is massive and comfortable, exactly as advertised. Property-wide shuttle and buggy rentals make moving around convenient and free ferry shuttle to and fro the ferry terminal is a massive bonus. Only drawback is that some facilities in their recreational centre seem to be showing their age but everything else is great! Thank you for the enjoyable stay eitherways, no doubt great service :)"
