RIAD ALHAMBRA
10/10 Excellent
"Friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast with a view from the terrace. Very close to all that the town can offer and less than 5 mts away from a not crowded parking spot."
"We enjoyed our stay at Casa Sabila. After the transfer from Fes, we took a taxi as close as we could. It was still a bit of a walk up stairs and over rough cobblestones with rolling luggage, so keep that in mind if you have challenges with your mobility. Otherwise the staff was great. Super friendly and helpful. They made an effort to make the stay enjoyable. And the breakfast was good up on the patio. I will say the view wasn’t as good as I expected for some reason, but I may have built it up too much I my own mind. The only other minor negative is just the shower head in our room leaked like crazy. Not really a fault of theirs. Just a note for management to fix. "
"The room was comfortable enough. However, what made this place standed out was the staff!! They are bunch of kindest and most friendly people I’ve ever met. I felt so welcome instantly. I had so many lovely chats with each one of them. I got to learn about their names, the culture, and the town history. People may remember how beautiful chefchaouen famous blue houses were. For me, I think I will always remember Jabir, Walid, Hamza, Taoufiq, Hafsa, and Hanae for their kindness to accept me. They have gone out of way to greet me at the square and helped me with my luggage. Truly was appreciated!"
"Staff member that met us upon arrival and at check out was very nice. He gave us a choice of rooms. The room we chose was bigger and had a small kitchen with fridge but it was older. The rooms on the lower floor are more modern but I loved having the fridge . The only concern bother we had and I believe you will have it where ever you stay in Chefchaouen is the barking and howling dogs throughout the night . They are cute in the Medina but not so much when you are trying to sleep . Not a reason to not go to Chefchaouen or to not stay at this Riad but just a warning . "
"Room is very confortable, super clean and nice furnitures with plenty of windows. There was also a useful fridge . Staff was super friendly and helpful. Superb breakfast in the hotel terrace with a stunning view"
"The room was very clean and cosy. However it was situated right beside the restaurant. We had to walk thru the dinning area to get to our room. The restaurant closed at 11 pm so there wasn’t any noise interference. There was a little smell in the bathroom but not enough for an official complaint. There was no kettle/mini fridge/microwave. The staff were excellent, very friendly and always willing to help. The is a plus plus.
We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel so I cannot comment.
The location was perfect. Close to everything in Chefchaouen. The Medina was gorgeous. The hotel has a beautiful garden and it’s a very nice relaxing ambiance.
The only downside was you have to walk lots of stairs to get to the hotel. I would recommend a carryon or a backpack. If you have any walking restraints, this Medina is not for you. Lots of uphill and stairs. But it’s beautiful province.
I would recommend this hotel."
