"We understand it is the Galapagos and we came to see wildlife, but we didn’t expect a resident gecko in our room. He was tiny, but unexpected. We also had at least 30 ants in the room over the course of the stay. As for amenities, they had a coffee house/bar upstairs where we ate breakfast and the ocean right in front of you, but other than that amenities were limited. We enjoyed the stay despite the extra guests. You can’t beat the view!"
"Friendly staff. Breakfast was included and absolutely delicious. Room was comfortable and large. Bathroom was sufficient, however, the shampoo and bodywash came in little packets which were impractical for those with lots of hair. Luckily we brought our own stuff. I had them wash my laundry (7$) it was washed, dried, and folded. Host drove us to the ferry on our last day for 2$/person at 5am which was very helpful."
"This property was absolutely spectacular! Everything is within walking or biking distance, SUPER SAFE; the BEST island of the Galápagos. Staff was SUPER helpful, gracious and 5-Star quality"
"Wonderful two week stay at the Drake Inn while volunteering on the island. It is right across the street from a beautiful, quiet, and pristine section of the beach and steps away from the entrance to the trail to the Wall of Tears, and close to a variety of places to eat, shop, and hang (Pink Iguana bar!). Our rooms (the superior twin and double) were clean and nice with comfortable beds, fridges, and places to store our clothes. The hot water situation was decent (better than most places), the breakfast was simple but good, and the roof deck was hardly used by anyone else and was lovely (amazing views and a sun-heated jacuzzi).
My one note is we could never figure out how to turn the AC off of auto and it would go on and off a lot in the early hours of the morning, which woke us up. Ear plugs helped."
"Perfect beach view and we could watch the iguanas crossing from our balcony. Amazing pool and best food, no need to go to ajy restaurant. Wonderfully friendly and attentive staff"
