El litoral
10/10 Excellent
"Anne Marie and Rene are the perfect hosts! They share their home in a warm way - including poolside relaxation, wonderful breakfast, and recommendations on what to do/see during your visit. Our room (ensuite bath) was spacious and comfortable. Beautiful Playa Coronado is 1km (.6 mile) walk. I highly recommend staying at El Litoral if you will visit Coronado."
"Rooms were a bit outdated and maintained moisture making it constantly feel damp. Walls needed some
cleaning and tending to. However the staff was excellent and very"
"Horrible customer service, tried calling to cancel as our flights to Panama were cancelled and they had no number to call, the number given was a house number. Expedia tried calling and no answer in the end we lost out on our money, we lost out on the hotel. "
"We loved our stay there. It was an amazing property with friendly and helpful staff.
The expansive pool was great for adults and kids. The breakfast was exceptional. Incredible attention to detail throughout the property."

8/10 Good
"Address was not correct. The view from the room was beautiful. The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. The kitchen had the bare minimum. We bought a knife because the only knife provided was very dull. No bake ware that was gas oven safe so we bought tinfoil to bake in. The pans are not proper for a gas stove & the cooking utensils were plastic so again not ideal for gas stove. We had to buy salt and pepper & dish soap as the soap provided was VERY watered down and did not suds when washing the dishes. We also had to buy our own laundry soap & bounce sheets. The beach was very nice to walk in the morning & at sunset. However on our first day we left our beach bag on the beach chairs not even 10 ft from the pool. Lots of staff around, the massage ladies & the life guard.. went for a walk down to the water and back, moved our bags to the pool chairs on the deck, swam for an hour & returned to the room only to find ALL 4 of my hubbys credit cards had been stolen from his wallet that was inside the beach bag. We informed staff, the told us they would look into it: 2 cameras faced the places we left our bag.. we were told later the camera didn’t see anything and that staff would “ look in the sand because they probably fell out” … $700 worth of charges later that was clearly not the case. Next day 1 of the 2 cameras was missing & the life guard never returned. The place has facial recognition to get into the gate… so keep your valuables close. Breakfast was great. "
"We stay at a clean room equipped with basic but usefull kitchenette. The owner prepared daily breakfast charged with flavors and plenty of love. Have to say that we were treated like family. I suggest to try the home-made banana & nuts muffins, they're delicious. "
"The unit is not clean, not equipped with basic things, and the worst is the shower which almost had no water and the water temperature changed from very hot to very cold. Front desk are terrible, maintenance is poor. The only reason we gave them 2 stars and not one is the beautiful beach and the view from the Balcony."
"For international travelers expecting a normal hotel room, I would carefully review details about this hotel. If you're accustom to staying in hotels that cater to local citizens, you might be happy here. They seem to cater to families with kids who want to hang around the pools. "
"It took me quite a while to find the hotel. I assumed I was lost and contacted the property asking them to send a location. Turns out I had gone to the right place, but there was no sign, nothing to indicate it was a hotel. There is a large gate, but no instructions anywhere how to get in. I contacted the hotel and they seemed surprised I was checking in. When I finally got in the gate there was still no indication this was a hotel. They again asked if I was sure I was staying there. Finally they said, “there was a problem, they only had 2 rooms and neither were clean. It would be 20 minutes until it was clean.” This was at 6 pm. I finally got to my room. It was very clean by this time. The bed was comfortable. The power went out around 11, but only in my room. The lights never came back on, but the aircon did. I left at 7 the next morning, but there was no one at the front desk, so I left the key and sent a message and picture the hotel. Then had to message and call to get someone to open the gate. I finally honked my horn several times. Sorry to the people still sleeping. It was not the best place I have stayed, but it was cheap and the bed was clean and comfortable. "
