5. Non Nuoc Fine Arts Village

More than 80,000 stone statues are made here each year

适合: 购物者, 历史

Non Nuoc Fine Arts Village is one Da Nang’s most unique markets. Unlike other markets, this one sells amazing stone carvings that can be both practical and beautiful. Think of it as a large gallery where you can both purchase and admire great art.

The granite used in the stone carvings was once mined from the marble mountains just behind Non Nuoc Fine Arts Village. Now, stone is brought in from international and local quarries. But the carvings, ranging from jewellery and small figurines to large statues, remain steeped in Vietnamese culture and history bearing the image of Buddha, national heroes, endemic animals and more. Just make sure you have room in your suitcase for whatever you buy.
