"This property and location are amazing! My family loved it, and we will definitely be back. For those who like all the details, the décor is a little dated, and some areas of the rooms show wear and tear from the years. Our bathroom pocket door did not close all the way, and the bathroom itself was just average. None of that bothered us, though. The beds were comfortable, and the sheets and towels were very clean, which is what matters most to us. The balcony is a must-have, and the harbor view was spectacular. The Reef Bar is older and has a musty smell, likely from years of being right on the harbor, which is probably unavoidable. That said, the staff was amazing, and the food was excellent. My teenage girls loved the hand-battered chicken tenders, homemade chips, and ranch. The pizza was also very good—top-notch bar food. The complimentary coffee machine was delicious, honestly better than Starbucks. We also loved the free s’mores kits available at the front desk. Just ask, and they’ll provide everything you need. Staff will even light the beautiful harbor-side fire pits. The water taxi was a fun adventure to historic downtown. We highly recommend Ruby’s for brunch, it looks closed from the outside, but it isn’t! The pool was our favorite part of the property, with great chairs, a tiki bar, and beautiful views. For dinner, Shem Creek is only minutes away and offers even more stunning waterfront scenery. Overall, if a little cosmetic issues dont bother you, its amazing"

"The hotel is perfectly located by the beach, it has easy access, and I like that the parking is included. The room was not clean at all. Yes, the beds were made, but the floor, toilet, shower, and sink were dirty, the room door was really hard to close because it was misaligned with the frame, the balcony sliding door was also hard to open or close, and you were only able to open it halfway because it needed lubrication or the tracks were damaged. The food was ok, but the advantage is that the good restaurants were across the street. I will stay again, here, yes, because it is very convenient."

"My family and I (4) enjoyed a wonderful stay. The location on King Street is ground zero for the numerous boutiques and restaurants in the area. we walked everywhere. A park is right across the street and had an open air market during our stay. The rooms are old world charm but be prepared for the bathroom! It is miniscule!! Only one person can fit at a time but we laughed and made it work. We visited the spa which was smaller than the website portrays it to be. But the staff were extremely friendly and my daughter and I were happy with our massage therapists. Overall, I would highly recommend this historic hotel."
