"The Gillen House is a perfect destination if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway that is close to Athens and not too far away from Atlanta. The hosts, Edward and Cynzia, were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The food at breakfast was excellent. Especially the steaks and sides that we had for dinner on our arrival evening. The room was spotless and perfect. We definitely enjoyed our stay!"

"My family and I love this location. We came into town to attend an event in Atlanta but wanted to stay on the outskirts of Atlanta to avoid all of the traffic and congestion (this was the best decision we ever made). We stayed 2 nights at this location. This hotel is right off of the interstate and is in walking distance to several restaurants. Also, Walmart and many other stores are located right across the street from this hotel. We will book at this location again in the future whenever...

"We enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt Place Athens, in GA for a wedding. Room was comfortable, laid out like a suite. Excellent proximity to downtown Athens and the campus. Breakfast had a nice variety, including eggs/sausage, fruit, chobani yogurt, cereal. Our favorite breakfast of the trip. The rooftop bar is definitely a destination ‘scene’ for college crowd going for an upscale feel. Would certainly stay here again."
