Hotels in Minaret Bay

"Ancient build cabins, toilets, kitchen. Campsites are on lake side. Tiny Kitchen with very few utencils and limited space for cook and eat. Nowhere compared to holiday parks like Top10 "

"Paid nearly £200 for one night in a small basic room. I understand that we booked late and the town was busy. However, we were only staying for one night and the only facility we were really interested in was the restaurant. On arrival at around 4pm we were informed that the restaurant was fully booked and if we wanted to eat we would need to go into town. When we visited the bar at around 7pm we noticed that the restaurant was relatively empty. On enquiry we were informed that the hotel only had one chef and they were busy because two coach trips were staying at the hotel and therefore could not accommodate other guests. In my opinion important decision making facilities such as restaurants should if advertised always be available. When I complained the following morning the staff were clearly uninterested."

"A nice motel, comfortable, clean, friendly and close to the town. My only displeasure, being in room 11, was that a very noisy water heating system came on a 6am."

"Really great little hotel. Rooms were perfect - heat/AC worked perfectly, nice modern bathroom, soap dispensers worked (not common in NZ lol) - while not fancy, we loved everything about this place. All of the small details that makes for a comfortable stay were wonderful."

"The location was very nice, with walking distance to the lake, the restaurants and shops. The communal kitchen was very nice, clean, and spacious. The room was very small, without even a nightstand. "

"A very spacious place for an overnight stay. The small garage space was just enough to park our small 4-door car. The washer and dryer was a bonus. The kitchen was very well-equipped. The pool looked inviting but we weren’t daring enough to enjoy. Town was close by to explore for the evening and enjoy a walk by the lake and dinner."
