"Everything was fine"

"I came to stay at the Promissory as a half-way point between Philadelphia and Asheville, where I was headed for the weekend, and I was not disappointed! So incredibly charming, thoughtful, and inviting. I was offered a complimentary upgrade to my room to their gorgeous and spacious Artist's Suite and enjoyed a glass of champagne upon arrival. The staff were all friendly, informative, and professional. I wish I was able to stay longer but promise that if I ever find my way to Roanoke (an adorable town!) I will be staying again, and will certainly tell everyone I know to reserve a room at the Promissory Hotel. "

"Check in quick and easy, room was clean and looked reasonably new. Coffee pot in room was missing a part so not working. Breakfast was adequate but overcooked. Overall the stay was acceptable. "

"The floor in the room needed swept behind the door. The hallway smelled of Marijuana nonstop and idk about the bathtub. Also ourside the sliding doors of the room needed cleaned"

"It seems like the last couple of times I have been here it has gone downhill. It’s small things like not getting a complimentary bottle of water anymore at check-in, or not having any paper towels in my room. (Which happened on my most recent visit) I want to keep coming back here but it needs to improve. "

"Great staff, easy check in/out. Room is always in great condition, up to date, and clean. Breakfast is very good with options and freshness. Great place to stay, also very convenient to the airport for early flights."
