"This is a really cute, 400 (ish) year old pub. The location is great as well. We asked for a vegan breakfast is it was no problem, and it was tasty. My only issue is less likely to be a problem for most people, but as someone with mobility issues, the very uneven floors led to a lot of tripping. My husband had no issues at all. Overall, I would recommend this hotel."

Nothing except a playground in the village of Warcop. 5 miles to Appleby in one direction. Kirby Stephen in the other. Lovely countryside."

"Right on the Main Street with a lovely pub/restaurant and very helpful staff. Our room was very nice, operable windows for a nice breeze while sleeping, a comfy bed and a well appointed bathroom. They were flexible about breakfast timing too, thank you so much! We had a lovely stay, highly recommend!"

"A very idiosyncratic hotel - you'll either love it or hate it! We had a suite, which was very grand and spacious, but was showing its age. The evening meal was outstanding - David the Chef / part owner is excellent. Few others eating there, though, so a bit lacking atmosphere. "

"Lovely Inn in a quiet village. Our stay was even quieter due to the Horse Fair in Appleby meaning the Inn was only open to residents. The inn clearly loves having dogs to stay so if you don’t like that, think carefully. Food was well prepared and the homemade steak pie was definitely on the large side! Bedroom was comfortable with all modern facilities."
