Meitetsu Grand Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Very convenient location since you are about 1 min from the metro and long range trains. Plenty of shopping and dinning around. Staff where Very helpful with questions and requests. Beds are very comfortable and room was spacious"
"Location was further away from train station than expected. Multiple construction sites around the hotel (we were here in late May 2026) and they seemed to last for a long while."
"Overall, a good business hotel in a very convenient location with easy access to multiple subway lines, Nagoya Station, Nagoya Castle, Mirai Tower, and Oasis 21. I enjoyed the free breakfast with decent variety, welcome drinks, and thoughtful extras like free toiletries. My room was small but well designed, with a dedicated luggage space, and I even had a great view of the Mirai Tower.
One thing to be aware of is the surrounding area: while generally convenient, it becomes noticeably busier in the evenings with nightlife crowds and adult-oriented entertainment venues nearby, which may not suit everyone.
On the downside, housekeeping timing was also inconsistent, with staff attempting to enter the room later in the afternoon despite stated cleaning hours, which was inconvenient when I needed rest between day trips.
Overall, a comfortable and convenient stay with good value, but with a few minor drawbacks."
"This hotel was amazing! Bright, modern, full of life. The hallways and rooms on each floor are themed to add to the fun. And a disco in the elevators every time….so much fun!
Staff were excellent, the place is very clean and tidy. Buffet breakfasts and dinners were awesome.
We loved our stay, the hotel paired with a day at Legoland is a perfect match!"
"Hotel is lovely. Room is nice size and comfortable. Location is also good.
Not the greatest hotel for kids as it seemed mostly for adults or for business."
"Location not close to JR station, but the room itself is spacious, amenities very good. The restaurant at ground floor is also nice. I would choose to stay here next time if I visit Nagoya again."
"Staff was incredibly helpful in answering questions about the local area and in holding our luggage before and after our reservation. All staff we encountered spoke English which is always helpful. Room was clean with only minor evidence of wear (older carpet and marks on walls). Beds were comfy, only complaint is there weren’t enough pillows (which is typical in Japan), but we made do and still slept really well. Little to no road noise, with an awesome bakery down the street. Would absolutely stay here again!"
