Hotel Cham Cham - Taipei
8/10 Good
"First time staying in Banqiao. We originally looked at Caesar Park Hotel Banqiao but it was over budget, so we took a chance on Hotel Cham Cham Taipei—about a 10-minute walk to the MRT.
Stayed in the Deluxe Double Discovery room. Spacious enough for multiple large suitcases (2-28in, 2-30, and 2 carry-on), quiet sleep, and comfortable bed (pillows too soft). AC blows a bit directly at you and is hard to control. Bathroom and toilet are separate, with good shower.
Overall, great value and very convenient & easy access to MRT, buses, and plenty of nearby food and shops. With a plus of Yellowstone Market with variety of foods, famous Hot Pot, and Peking Duck near by.

"It was a great option for that area, for sure. Really nothing to complain about but if I were to nitpick, I thought it was a little different that they didn't have a full roll and extra roll of tp. The ac was odd, it kept going back to a lower temp so we'd be freezing when we woke up. Junior suite was great and spacious. I like that there was a separate "living" area from the bedroom to keep our bags and mess from the bedroom. Also, not really a big issue but the booking advertisement said city view and when we checked in, front desk kindly informed us none of the jr suites have a city view due to the layout of the room. This might be false advertising from hotels.com tho - which has happened before. Not a big deal to us in this case since we were pleased w the location, proximity to train station, two big malls, convenience store next door, plenty of eateries, and lastly a coffee shop in the building (a must-have on my list.) A huge plus is the executive lounge! Very nice surprise. "
"Everything was great - very friendly staffs and spacious room in an excellent location. The only downside was that the "shuttle" to the airport was actually a taxi they arranged for you. Despite that, the taxi service was excellent too. It's just that the shuttle service was the main reason we chose to stay in this hotel."
