"Hotel with a restaurant nicely located in the vicinity of a stud farm. The hotel staff is friendly but the farm people are less. I tried to look at some horses together with my 9yo daughter but have been yelled at by a typical German, that this is private land and we should leave. A real downturner. So if you stay at this hotel, avoid the very neighbourhood."

"This is a lovely friendly family run hotel. Rooms and service brilliant. Fridge in downstairs area provided for guests for their own use. Breakfast really good, even cooking gluten free bread rolls to cater for allergy. Free car parking. Highly recommend a stay here."

"I absolutely loved my stay at Landhaus Goddertzhof. It was convenient to Aachen for CHIO, and I enjoyed my single bed room, clean bathroom, and the kindness of the owners. I am a hot sleeper, used to sleeping in air conditioned spaces, but with the window open I was more than comfortable and also able to see the stars. it was perfect. "

We felt very welcomed by the wonderful staff, from personally showing us to our room to the restaurant staff going out of their way to ensure my wife had one more schnitzel before leaving Germany. Very clean and well-maintained estate, bedroom, and bathroom. Excellent dinner food in the restaurant, but a somewhat underwhelming breakfast buffet.
Very comfy bed, and while the room and its furniture radiate a romantic castle atmosphere, the bathroom is very modern - a perfect mix between the "old" that you want and the "new" that you need. :)
