"This place is awesome. I wish we had stayed longer. We stopped here for the night because it is the half way point for the Shimanami Kaido bike route. The residence was an independent structure with a large window looking out to the sea and the bridge. Sunrise was gorgeous. The unit has a beautiful bathroom, very nice bedroom and new clean kitchen. Everything about the residence was top-notch, including the amenities. The breakfast and dinner that we chose were amazing. Loved this place....

"Nice new Hotel in Setoda with a public bath (not Onsen) the staff was very friendly and always helpful. the rooms are very big but there’s only a shower booth in the room. Though you can use the hotels own public bath which was very nice. it’s somehow even tattoo friendly if you don’t have specific “japanese” tattoos. there are many local eateries and some stylish coffee shops nearby. rent a bike and explore the island or corss the bridge to Ehime pref. :)

"Didn't use the parking, and unfortunately the pool was under renovation while we were there (too bad, it looked awesome), but really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Front desk staff were excellent (super helpful, pleasant, and professional), rooms were clean and comfortable, Japanese restaurant was great, and central location was very convenient.

"When is a resort not a resort? In this case, when it doesn't provide any facilities outside the room. There's a rooftop bar in summer but nothing at other times. Staff were pleasant but breakfast was limited and when we asked for a second cup of coffee we had to pay for it. The room is large but was taken up by 4 double futons and a massive hanging screen for projecting TV/video. We felt it was intended for a large group who wanted to watch DVDs all day. The cost would have been fine split 8...
