"Love the place, room set up was perfect, friendly staff, however at the chill area fire place section there is a guest room, which had 2 quest in, me and my girls was sitting by the fire place as it was cold when the quest arrived from there walk we were asked to move that was not nice we too where paying customers, why is that section available to relax if you really can't use it when quest is close to that section room then rather do not promote or don't put quest that section of the house as...

"Beautiful and well maintained property and grounds. The gardens are beautifully planted and a pleasure to walk around. The spa and swimming pool facilities are well appointed; and outdoor lounging and dining areas are great for enjoying the surrounding mountains and fine weather. Stefan’s fine dining restaurant tasting menu was interesting and well executed and staff all knowledgable and friendly. Hope to return! Great spot. "

"Roodenburg House 1882 is very comfortable and well located. Staff are friendly and there is ample parking. Breakfast was excellent. There were two problems. There is a very nice pool area with an honesty bar. The bar had no stock of any kind. When we asked why, we were told that it had all been drunk on Christmas day after a big function. "Very friendly service and great value for money. There were some issues with our Expedia booking, but the staff did what they could to ensure that it was minimally disruptive. The unit is very very big and definitely could host a family quite easily. There seemed to be too few parking bays for the number of guests, but we sorted that out amongst each other. All in all a pleasant experience. "

"Seen so many negative reviews of the hotel BUT we can't compliment them enough. Since our arrival till we left we had such pleasant experience with the staff, the hotel all over as well as our room were clean. The room was spacious and we loved the shower. Dinner was fantastic as well as Breakfast. Our compliments to the manager as well as each and every staff member. Beautifull artwork on display to buy."
