We booked a “Mountain View” room. We got an immersive sensory experience: dumpster out the back window, laundry room just to the right, stairwell out the front. It was less of a room and more of a poorly ventilated utility corridor with a bed in it. The AC unit appeared to be a retired aircraft engine. Every time the temperature dipped a single degree, it spooled up like a 737 preparing for departure. Earplugs were provided, which tells you everything you need to know. Our upstairs neighbor was hosting a rotating festival. Day, night, weekday, weekend — the fiesta was eternal and the walls were thin. No front desk! Very boutique. Very modern. Very “please complete this 87-page digital intake form” The bar exists in the same way Bigfoot exists. Rumored. Never confirmed. The restaurant claims to be open daily except Tues. First-hand research determined it operates Sun. and Mon. after 5pm. The rest of the week it apparently takes a spiritual retreat. Our bed had a structural ridge down the center that would make a geologist weep — my spouse and I spent five nights clinging to our respective edges like castaways. The clear toiletry dispensers offered an exhibit: layers of separated, discolored shampoo stratified like sedimentary rock, fading through a lovely ombré gradient that suggested the Carter administration. All of this at $400 a night. Want towels? Coffee? Text ahead. Basic hospitality pack your own. The saltwater pool was a genuine highlight. Just maybe run the skimmer.

This was a virtual hotel check in. Corner king as described and quite spacious. Small issue was resolved promptly. Hot tub and pool are basic and pleasant. Location is away from downtown. A few options local to walk to for coffee or food.

The staff “Damien “ was very accommodating.The Best part was the French Restaurant called “Freddie’s “. This was Excellent and loved how it was right on property. Loved it.

Check in was easy and efficient. Air conditioner is set quite high and was hard to read. Pool area was really nice especially with the bar/restaurant out there.

The room was pretty nice. Everything worked, including the sizeable that had Netflix and Prime. Shower was fully stocked with nice shampoos and toiletries. Only thing which was a little weird was there felt like, beyond the restaurant, there wasn’t anybody on staff at the hotel, but, to be fair, I stayed over Christmas, so it might be a little busier at other times. All in all, a great choice!
