"We had always wanted to visit the Atlantis after having a brief experience whilst on a cruise years ago. We had friends who had given it rave reviews and wanted to experience it for ourselves. The resort lives up to the hype... and the cautions (very expensive!!). Armed with forehand knowledge, we were able to manage the costs (often had meals offsite) and had a remarkable time!"
"Check-in took about 20 minutes, and our room wasn’t ready. We were given access to amenities, but no one mentioned the arrival/departure lounge—which we later found and really liked.
The room was outdated and not very clean—stained curtains and carpet, dirty balcony doors, and a poorly maintained sink area. The bed was comfortable, but overall it needs a refresh.
Pools were extremely crowded with limited seating, and one adults-only pool was often closed for private events. The beach had plenty of chairs, but the water wasn’t swimmable due to seaweed.
Food was very expensive, plus added taxes and gratuities. Starbucks and Pizza Lab were great; other options were just okay.
Staff were friendly, but pool areas needed more frequent cleaning.
Overall, the resort has potential, but it doesn’t match the price. For what we paid, we expected a more relaxing experience, cleaner accommodations, and better value for the cost of food and amenities."
