"On an island with giant all-inclusive mega-resorts, British Colonial was a wonderful throwback hotel. It was clean and quiet with an understated elegance, and easily walkable to downtown and a number of restaurants. Staff was helpful and friendly, without being intrusive. Hotel has a nice private beach and pool area. It is located near the port, so you can see the cruise ships sail in and out of the harbor, a rather impressive sight."
