"The room was wonderful and bright. The staff did an amazing job at cleaning it and keeping it fresh. the entirety of the gilded iguana staff was kind and helpful. the breakfast was delicious and there was a variety of good eat options. the whole resort was well air conditioned and we never felt hot for a second while in our room. The kids club is amazing and the pool is pristine and the perfect temperature. and it is only a five minute walk away from a stunning beach. i definitely recommend the gilded iguana."

"The place is only a couple minute walk to Samara Beach and about a 4 minute drive to Carillo Beach. Both are fantastic! The staff here are amazing and go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and help you select some great adventures without getting ripped off. The food is top notch (and reasonably priced). Other restaurants are nearby too. The pool is small, but adequate to take a dip. The room was clean, and the A/C was great. There was a lot of room (we stayed in the King Suite The wifi was accessible everywhere on property, making staying connected to home and sharing our adventures on social easy. It also feels very private. The only downside comes down to preference. The bed was hard as a rock. If you like a firm bed, then perfect. We like medium firm. Maybe they would've had a mattress topper if we asked. But we persevered. Otherwise, for the price, this is an amazing find."

"Very cool place. Unique and beautiful. My kids loved the pool area, the pool table and swings chairs. Beds were very comfortable and the coffee machine with coffee at the hut was a nice surprise "

"Staff were super friendly and kind. Pool is big and awesome. Location is right in the heart of Guiones so not quiet but very convenient. Mati at the juice/coffee bar is super cool, a great surf instructor, and has great insight into the area. Expectations exceeded."

"For the money, ESH is a great deal. Very upscale, quiet, and the entire staff will accommodate every need or request at all times. It’s not on the coast, but rather up the hill about 5 minutes from town and the beach. Town is a happening place whereas ESH is simply peaceful. Best of both worlds. "
