The beds were comfortable and linens were quality, I took note that the shower was roomy and the waterflow was substantial which you rarely find in other hotels. The staff was friendly and helpful and recommended area restaurants and venues. The in-house restaurant was nice and staff was friendly. Parking was a bit challenging at times but I was able to eventually find a spot. Overall it was a nice experience and...

The rooms are the same as others, the kitchen looks smaller because there is an extra counter space by the door, so at the end, it is actually very practical. "Very simple, wonderfully old-school roadside motel 'down the shore'. Reminds of me of the similar places I stayed as a kid, and the experience as an adult was similarly excellent. The SG Lodge has an excellent location and is nicely maintained by the owner/staff. Others might recommend modernizing everything, but that would detract from the charm. Definitely a solid place to stay while in the area."
