in hornberg...a ways from triberg....very nice small hotel...and a great resturant next door run by the same people who run the hotel...ate dinner 2 of 3 nights and the food was good both times...highly recomend

For the price you pay, it’s not bad. The decor may need an update, but the pictures online are true to form. My only real gripe was the plastic mattress protector on the obviously new mattress- you’ll wake up in a pool of sweat in the middle of the night. Nevertheless, I still give my overall experience 5 stars because of the hotel’s staff. After one week at this hotel I can say that is the best hotel at black forest We came with our gps rented car and had a free parking near the hotel That is at the center of black forest . The best hotel you can find at this area.

Lovely remote chalet that is still ideally situated in the black forest to visit, with a short drive, the clock makers and glass blowers and triburg falls. Owners are very friendly, the food is excellent, and the rooms are comfortable.

Probably one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed at. The building is only a few years old. The suite was clean, quiet, comfortable, and huge. Ample room for a family of 4 with luggage. The bathroom was large and beautiful. The staff was very polite, professiinal, and helpful. We did not eat at the restaurant but it looked nice. I stumbled upon Sombea during a trip through Southern Germany, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. The staff is helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the restaurant is delicious. If I find that my travels take be back to the Schwarzwald, I will be staying at Sombea again.

One of my favorite hotels, rooms are rustic but fully functional, the food is superb, the views are spectacular. The staff are great.
