"The owner was so helpful and went above and beyond to get us to our event nearby. We had a very comfortable night; the rooms were clean with the usual facilities (tea and coffee) that you’d expect with bottled water and fresh milk provided in the fridge. The Inn is superbly located as just a few miles from Cambridge. A good choice of breakfast provided. Would definitely return. "

"Excellent from start to finish. Felt like a home away from home. The hosts Maria and Guido couldn’t do enough for you. The breakfast was amazing with endless espresso! Location good for walking in to the city centre. Was very convenient to have free parking included. We will definitely be back!"

"Excellent location for visiting IWM Duxford and only 10 minutes on the train to Cambridge. Janet and Simon couldn't have been more welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and the breakfasts were really good with options for all tastes. Would stay again without hesitation."

"Great hotel outside Cambridge. Bus stop is next to the hotel, every 20 minutes and it only takes 15 minutes to get in the centre of Cambridge. Payable car park next to the hotel."

"We came to visit family who live nearby in the village, so it was very convenient to stay at the Red Lion. The apartment was great, the super-king-sized bed was very comfortable with lovely cotton sheets, and there was a great shower. Staff were very friendly and the apartment block is a short walk from the pub, so it is private and quiet. Would definitely stay again . "

"Pet friendly and a very warm welcome. Bedroom was quite small but had ensuite shower roomand a nice powerful hot shower. Food was nice, i recommend the gammon which was very large and very tasty. Good selection of beers."

"Great location on outskirts of Cambridge. Excellent sized and equipped rooms, would recommend pizza at rooftop bar. Centre of Cambridge is walkable but is a good 40 - 45 mins away. "

Breakfast good, although not always easy for the staff to manage and maintain. 2 pay points in Oz & Isle would help service. Room 201 underfloor heating kept switching on. "The Black Horse was gem in a nice country setting. Craig was a great host, plenty of walking trails around the area. Tuesday was steak night (compliments to the chef it was fantastically done!) An impromptu gathering of locals forming a shanty group was a fun and unique experience. Craig pours a good pint of Guinness which is a bonus! Room was spacious and tidy with my own private bathroom, kitchenet with continental breakfast. Craig was on hand if I needed anything! Would recommend and...

"I came to Cambridge for the weekend with my mum and sister and we had a wonderful time. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the rooms were basic but clean and the pool and gym facilities were brilliant (very hot jacuzzi and the hottest steam room I've ever been in!) and a nice bar area for the evenings (we didn't eat any meals at the restaurant) The breakfast was pricey (£14.95 each) but so worth it. Multiple cereals, juice, hot buffet, pastries - we loved it. We're already looking forward...

"Lovely family run hotel with an excellent Italian restaurant. Everything was good and the food was excellent. Our room was clean, comfortable and nicely presented but could perhaps benefit from a little updating, as could the bathroom. Having said that, we would definitely use the hotel again. Free onsite car parking was an added bonus."
