This place was amazing. The staff was welcoming, the food at the restaurant was AMAZING and the hotel surroundings are exactly what you would expect from a premium hotel in the Chianti region. Breathtaking views and sense of serenity made my experience there great.

We loved this place! Getting here was a bit tricky, as the map we were given in the welcome email was of bad quality, so it didn't take us to the correct place right away, but we figured it out, very minor. I'm sure you can ask for a better quality map. When we arrived to check in, we were greeted by Lisa, who was oh so very helpful! She showed us where laundry was, asked all questions we had about WIFI and other hotel things, recommended us 3 terrific places to eat dinner on each of our 3...

Just a phenomenal place to stay. Great breakfast options in the morning, friendly and helpful staff and the grounds were amazing to walk around. Perfect if you are looking to visit the neighboring villages in Tuscany

Old hotel in an old mountain top town. Given the limitations of this environment the Cisterna is a great little hotel that met all of our needs .The Cisterna is located in Cisterna Square in town close to sights, dining and a valley view walkway. This was an incredibly beautiful property with an amazing staff. It is so peaceful and serene. Only a few things irritated us. They need a qualified bartender and a bell man. The cobble stone hill made it difficult to hall luggage from the gravel parking lot. With that being said, I would do it over again. It was one of my most favorite locations.

This inn is ideal for the traveler seeking a beautiful hilltop location in the heart of Chianti Country. Breakfast was excellent and the sister hotel nearby has a wonderful restaurant as well. The town of Greve is at the bottom of the hill, and there are numerous excellent wineries close by. Highly recommend this for someone wanting the perfect Tuscan wine country experience.

The hotel is beautiful and the family who runs the hotel are very nice people. It's quiet and comfortable the employees are very helpful. I enjoyed my stay.

This was the best experience we’ve ever had traveling! The views are incredible. The service was like noting we’ve ever experienced before. They helped plan our entire Chianti portion of our trip. I could go on and on about how fantastic they were. Will 100% be coming back in the near future!

Unexpected treasure. 20 minute walk from San Gimignano. Service is 1st class. Had to move rooms because of a last minute change and hotel staff stored and moved luggage and drove car and loaded luggage from room. Staff gave great recommendations on wineries.

We stayed 3 nights at Palazzo di Valli in late April 2022. The property is beautiful and located in a quiet residential area just south of the city's center. It sits on a hill overlooking a valley, and has it's own orchard and flower gardens. Instead of waking up to the sound of motorcycles and delivery trucks under your window, we woke up to chirping birds. It was very hard to get to the hotel. Google, Waze did not locate it. Upon arrival Ricardo confirmed this problem. The hotel is excellent! Super clean, confortable, modern decor. Their breakfast is really good. The staff were all friendly, professional and kind. I would dfinetly recommend this hotel.

The title says it all- this was a lovely hotel, and we enjoyed everything about our stay. The location was perfect, the room was very comfortable, breakfast was lovely, etc. the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, as well. We will certainly return on or next trip to Volterra!

We stayed at Boccioleto Resort & Spa for five nights with our two kids and absolutely loved it. The hotel is stunning, surrounded by greenery, with spacious rooms and a pool overlooking breathtaking views. The staff is impeccable—always warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making every guest feel special. You can really sense the team’s effort to create an unforgettable experience. Breakfast was delicious, and if we had more time, we would have gladly extended our stay.

This was a perfect retreat after a hectic week! I wish I had the time to stay longer, hope to return someday :) Great location right off the square. Cute and very clean room. Felt very safe at the hotel and in the city as a whole. The front desk gal was extremely friendly and helpful. If you are out and about late at night, be sure to bring both keys with you!
