Beautifully done interior design with an eye to period authenticity. The views of the countryside are open and wide. The owners were quite personable.
I had a little difficulty finding the castle since I had incorrectly set my sights on the village of Perpezat. I was looking for "Lieu dit Perpezat" which landed me an hour from the correct village - Apchat.
Great large room wonderful staff beautiful yards and great pool area. Large clean private parking lot and 3 minutes away from so many cute cafes and restaurants and boutiques. Great hotel and we will be back in September
This place was wonderful! It was spotless, comfortably warm (early spring), breakfast was great. The owner is absolutely delightful. There was even a place to park the car. Wonderful bathroom with shower. And for us most importantly, it was quiet. The stars were beautiful at night too. We plan on returning.
The property and the owners were absolutely incredible! So kind and welcoming. They cooked a wonderful dinner for all of the guests, all made with local ingredients. Served some incredible organic wines. The rooms were top-notch, clean, modern, equipped with everything you needed plus an outdoor Jacuzzi. We had the most relaxing stay! And we will definitely come back!!
A lot of old family run chateau are old and substandard, poor electrics, sparse hot water, weird owners...the Fawlty Towers experience. Not here. The decoration is beautiful, the bathrooms modern, hot water plentiful, breakfast replete with locally sourced produce served with a smile. We stayed a night, could've stayed a week.
Nice. The hotel is an old Chateau and the room was beautiful. Very familiar. Highly recommended for everyone who has business in Issoire or Clermont-Ferrand.
