“Property was kept up well. Very convenient location for our needs. Staff was very hospitable. ”

“It was great except we had called to see if there was a hot tub and they said yes. Got our suits on and went on a hunt only to be told they have sauna not a hot tub. ”

“I like everything about this hotel except the elevators. I have stayed here twice and it always seems that you have to wait forever for the elevators during the day as the maid staff is constantly using them to move carts up and down between floors. I understand that the laundry is probably in one central location, but i would think that each floor should have its own supply closet for the cleaning carts. It is a minor annoyance but something i felt i should mention. Everything else about this……

“The room was clean, renovations were excellent. A suggestion would be that because there wasn't a fitness center on the premises, that there could be a pass for Anytime Fitness across the street? Just a suggestion. Good choice.”

“The Birchy is a renovated motel that sits right on U.S. 41. As their literature states all their rooms face Lake Superior, true, but U.S. 41 is a very busy highway, and the sound proofing the room is not the best. I had to use earplugs and put a pillow on my head to shut out the noise. Otherwise, the room is very contemporary, sparse, but neat and clean. Very good accommodations. There is no front desk, so you let yourself in by an entry code, and leave by using an exit code. Very efficient.……

“Room was comfortable but you can tell the the cleaning was not very attentive as we found no less than 6 bobby pins on the floor from the previous guest (?).”
