Beautiful hotel. Clean, comfortable with a very friendly and helpful staff. Our room had a gorgeous view of the marina and town. The room was modern and well appointed. Comfortable beds!! I highly recommend this hotel. Plan to come back. Lerici is amazing!
Loved it. We wanted to stay in one of the cinque terre villages, but ended up here and we were SO glad. Take the ferry from Porto venere which is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Hotel staff will help you understand the ferry and times. Town of Porto Venere was one of our favorites.

The entire purpose of our stay in La Spezia was to visit the Cinque Terre. Like other reviews stated, it was perfect. We got off the train from Verona and headed down hill on the sidewalk about 100 yards and there was the hotel. Reception was very good, our room was very nice. The breakfast was very good. Via bus to Portovenere and 10 mins back to La Spitz . Highly recommend. There are spiral stairs tho - so if you are not good with those - maybe give it a miss.

88 Miglia was spectacular. The best view in all of La Spezia. The hike to the hotel took us through a nice neighborhood with cool views.
The owners were so nice and welcomed us well. We took the local train to Manarola and Riomaggiore in the Cinque Terre area (very close to La Spezia).

Unfortunately, when we arrived we found out that the beaches in the area were all closed due to finding a bacteria in the water that made children very sick but not adults. Albergo Serena is located up in the mountains with ~10 minutes of curvy roads, but the views are spectacular! Their facilities are somewhat new, it's looks like it used to be a house and they added some rooms but well planned. Their staff are friendly and attentive.
