"The annual Christmas market trip was to Munich this year. Now, hotels and taxis come very expensive in Munich, especially within the city centre, so we went with one of Munichs Holiday In Expresses, their large one located on the west side.
Balanced with cost, this hotel is perfectly located next to Hirschgarten train station. Easily reached by the Sl or S8 metro from the city or airport. Check in was friendly and helpful. Room was basic but functional. Shower was great, bed comfy, safe and TV all working. Not many towels here and not very fluffy but you can ask for more. Also norm cleaning does not occur every day.
Breakfast hearty and pleasant. You do have to book weekend slots so they can spread the demand, but this did not appear enforced on our visit. There is a nice bar with a food menu, and convenient alcohol, snacks, drinks shop located next to reception.
This would be our go to hotel on trips to Munich for cost and location."
"Chose this place as it was close to public transport connecting to both airport and central Munich. Also had a kitchenette and laundry available which were both handy, grocer walking distance away. It was a quiet and safe location. Comfy bed, good shower and warm temperature during winter. Reception was great and had some complimentary drinks in fridge. Overall great value for money."
"This was my first time staying at GREFIS, but not my first time in the area.
Honestly, this hotel is one of the better hotels I've stayed at for business in Germany. Great proximity to Munich and good access via public transportation.
The breakfast was excellent and a highlight, but the spa with the sauna was another excellent feature. Rooms were very nice, but perhaps a bit warm for my tastes in the winter. I often left the window open.
I'll be returning to the area soon, and I'll definitely be booking here again.

"Second time staying here and it was just a good as the first time. Love this place and will continue to book a room anytime I’m in Munich. It’s very cozy and clean. The staff are so nice. "
"Really nice hotel. Excellent room, fresh, new, spacious and good soundproofing from outside and hallway (important feature to me). It has a nice reception/bar area and the prices were very reasonable. No coffee making in the rooms which was unusual, but the reception/bar is a nice place to have an espresso or similar. The village of Munchen-Pasing is quite nice and actually way more peaceful and enjoyable than the excessive crowds that were in Munich visiting the Christmas market. It’s only a 20 min train ride on the S system which goes regularly from Marienplatz/Karlsplatz area. If you want shopping, there is a big mall in Munchen-Pasing too. Overall, Munchen-Pasing does not have the energy or convenience of central Munich, but this hotel was a very reasonable price for a good alternative with lots of advantages. "
