"Breakfast was good in restaurant for money"

"Check in was a disaster, the staff seemed to not know what was going on. I waited an hour and 15 minutes for an airport shuttle. The chair in the room was broken and they said they’d send one up but never did. The bathtub was in poor shape and the bathroom floor was dirty. There was caution tape all over and wet floor signs everywhere. The elevator was terrifying and slow. The breakfast bar was removed over an hour early. There was no place to hold bags prior to check in. The restaurant was closed. This used to be my favorite hotel in Tampa but I’ll definitely be looking elsewhere next time. "

"Hotel Tampa Riverwalk has an amazing location… and that’s about where the positives stop. The rooms feel very outdated — worn carpets, chipped paint, tired furniture, and bathrooms that are overdue for a full refresh. It honestly feels like the hotel hasn’t been touched in years. Service didn’t help the experience either. We requested basic housekeeping items multiple times and never received them, ending up hunting down supplies ourselves. If you only care about being in the heart of the Riverwalk, it works. If you care about the actual hotel… manage expectations."
